Values and Ethos

Our mission: Equipping today; empowering tomorrow.

Our vision

To be the small school of choice, enabling children to be the best they can be.

At Stedham Primary School, we equip every child today with the confidence, knowledge and values to thrive, while empowering them with the skills, resilience and curiosity they need to shape tomorrow. Through a nurturing and ambitious environment, we inspire lifelong learners who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

Our ethos

Six values run through everything we do. Children learn what each one looks like in practice, and we celebrate them every day.

Challenge

Having a desire to learn and improve, thinking and acting for yourself, doing things yourself, making your own choices.

Commitment

Enthusiasm, wanting to achieve and get better, being reflective, encouraging others, endurance.

Creativity

Being inventive, imagination, being prepared to be flexible, resourcefulness, adapting, being original, thinking around a problem or challenge.

Courtesy

Polite, manners, respect, care.

Consideration

Behaving in a sensible way, showing thought, being accountable for your actions, reliability, trust, truth, seeing things through, being honest to yourself and others, setting a good example.

Collaboration

Working together, teamwork, supportive criticism, helping one another, achieving goals together.

These values sit alongside the British Values we promote across the curriculum.
